Ah! It's been a while since I've received underground Pornogrind barrel-bottom scrapement such as this (and I can often count on good ol' Rotten Roll Rex to come up with the soiled goods). Although at first it doesn't seem so promisin', what the last Bitch Infection disc I heard, viz. Tanga Mortale, bein' unfathomably crap, Anus Tumor do sound interestin', despite their rubbish moniker. Right. Let's have a look at how this reekish scene is gettin' on!

Bitch Infection - Porn Delusions:
Unfortunately, the Bitch Infection stuff seems to be a continuation of their last batch of tracks, in that it's made out of a lot of chug-along, crush-a-lot riffs and drum programmin' that sounds as banal as it does synthetic, with gallingly repetitive, verbally diarrhetic vox. However! Despite bein' quite uninspired, their stuff does causes some head nodment due to its uncompromisingly groovy bulk, which is why its mindless pursuit of voluptuous riffage would definitely fare much better in a live situation. Also, the production, in spite of bein' lots of steps backwards from their last effort, seems to work far better and harks back to their early filth. Where Tanga Mortale appeared to be shiny and bulbous, the simplistic style came across as a bit flaccid havin' been buffed-up a bit too much, this recordin' is a grime-streaked basement bukkake job. Very rough!

Recently, I noted that Bitch Infection contains a former member of Utopie, who were much better (I recommend the rather underrated Instinct for Existence to everyone, it's great fun!), so it's a shame skills haven't been successfully transferred to this project. Then again, it's a different band, and if they sounded exactly the same as Utopie I'd probably complain and harp on about that instead. So then, this set of tracks draws upon the same stuff as before, more or less, so expect much Gut, a lot of Cock and Ball Torture, perhaps if the split they did with Disgorge [Mex] was conceived at around the time of Cocktales, splashes of Mucupurulent, bits of Meat Shits and a sweaty, chaotic sound akin to very old Libido Airbag (minus the samplin' and bangin' Clubgrind elements).

Deliberately simplistic, the guitars are soppin' with homogenous slitheriness, leavin' the ear with very little to distinguish between the crude grooves, which slide back and forth in the same stagnant stream of cloggy chugwater throughout, occasionally hittin' a piece of debris beneath the surface, like a shoppin' trolley or a piece of old bike, which causes their predictable stop-start bits, providin' the sole bit o' contrast afore bein' carried away by the flow of smelly filth again. The programmed drums are bland and clackety, with a lot sterile binary beats and clattery staccato blastin', maybe saved a bit by the fairly good use o' cymbals, but not really. Unfortunately, the vox still seem just as insistent upon dischargin' very similar splat patterns of pitchshifted slop as they were before; the texture of the voices is good, but the structures don't keep my attention very well at all.

Cover art critique: It's standard as the contents.
Lyrics/themes comment: They're as standard as the cover art.

Fun to listen to only every now and then.

Anus Tumor - Der Zellwuchs Stoppt:
Much dirtier and more corrosive than his split-friends, Anus Tumor plays chyme-soaked, shite-streaked Goregrind, steeped in filthy production. After a brief skim thru their discography you'll see he's shared a lot of mouldy multi-band split releases with the curdled cream of the reekish old corners of the underground, appearin' alongside such daft outfits as 50 Ways to Kill Me, Gynophagia, Vaginal Incest and Cunt Shitter (!).

Digital percussion pounds and clacks away, horrid detuned riffs blunder into one another and foul smellin' vox broth splashes your face, lobbed together in such a way that it resembles a precarious pile of stinkin' bagged up bit stacked up round the back of the hospital, with all kinds of half-bandaged necrotized parts tumblin' down around your ears, coverin' them in seropurulent fluid and other not very nice stuff. Mind you, that doesn't mean it's a hapless pile of braindead, random bangin', ‘cos the thing flows together rather well, probably because of the lithe guitars, which whirr and buzz like overheated bonesaws, shreddin' yer ears with portentous riffage, whilst his gob gushes lots of vox slosh, rangin' from smooth to lumpy to viscous.

Their stuff reminds me of classick pitchshifted drum-progged filth like Encylopaedia of Serial Murders by Catasexual Urge Motivation meets Floaters and Sinkers by Amoebic Dysentery, plus old Sublime Cadaveric Decomposition, but then I noticed clankin' away clinically at the centre of all of that, none other than Lymphatic Phlegm! Imagine if their strictly surgical style was roughened up a bit by Meat Shits and they loosened up their grimly impenetrable approach by borrowin' bits from (in addition to the other three acts already mentioned) early Clotted Symmetric Sexual Organ, but retainin' the chilly mortuary feel with something like Cadaver Removal Technician, possibly even Cardiovascular Sub-Hypothermia. Or maybe not, perhaps I just wanted to mention a lot of bands with lovely long names!

Production-wise, it's as if the whole lot's been stirred into a pot of rottin' slop, the guitars cooked to fuck at the bottom, drum-prog brewin' under the surface and lethal vox gas bubblin' to the top. Works well for this kind of shite. Their half of the release is jacketed in some fairly rubbish packagin' though, with a risibly poor pic of a corpse in a ditch in a forest!

Should you be a fan of drum machine driven Goregrind rottenness, then you'll probably enjoy this for a bit. If you're an unpicky Porno/Goregrind listener, or perhaps you're tryin' to amass a heavin' collection of underground filth, seekin' out slime like this for the purposes of completist rather than enjoyment, then the works of Bitch Infection and Anus Tumor are for definitely for you.
